SM Johnston
I grew up listening to my dad reading fables and fairytales. As soon as I could read, my nose was firmly in a book.
At university I studied journalism and communication – with literature subjects as electives. I worked initially as a journalist then moved into public relations.
My short story Growth is published in The Australian Literature Review’s anthology Basics of Life and I have contributed to the upcoming collection The Life and Times of Chester Lewis.
My short story Karma was shortlisted in one of The Australian Literature Review’s short story competitions. I am currently working on my first novel, Sleeper.
